Intellectual property (IP) is a central element of BDA Genesis. The framework is conceived as a protected diagnostic standard that can be licensed and integrated into insurance ecosystems.

Trademarks
BDA Genesis is registered or filed as an EUIPO word mark and figurative mark.
Trademark protection secures the identity of the framework across the European market and helps avoid confusion with unrelated tools.
Details on current registration status can be provided as part of bilateral discussions.
Protection concept
Beyond trademarks, the protection strategy covers the underlying diagnostic logic, data models, and system blueprints.
Documentation, governance artefacts, and audit-trail concepts are treated as confidential IP and can be shared under appropriate agreements.
Enterprise licensing
For insurers and reinsurers, BDA Genesis can be licensed as an enterprise framework.
Licensing typically covers:
- use of the brand
- access to the Genesis Code for defined modules
- right to operate the framework for internal and customer-facing processes
Commercial conditions depend on scope of deployment, number of users/regions, and integration support needs.
OEM licensing
OEM models are possible.
BDA Genesis can be embedded into existing platforms, claims systems, or diagnostic suites under the insurer’s or platform provider’s brand, while the underlying framework and governance remain tied to the BDA Genesis IP.
Co-branding or ‘powered by’ approaches are feasible depending on positioning and market strategy.
Licensing governance
Licensing is accompanied by governance arrangements, including:
- version management and update rights
- support for regulatory enquiries
- handling of enhancements or jointly developed modules
The goal is technical alignment with the Genesis Code while allowing integration into insurer-specific processes and infrastructures.
